short speech on the ozone layer

"Ozone Day" is an annual event that takes place on September 16th to commemorate the signing of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer in 1987.

ozone-depleting substances include halons, carbon tetrachloride, and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs).

The ozone layer is divided into two regions: the "lower ozone layer" (about 10-15 km above the Earth's surface) and the "upper ozone layer" (about 15-50 km above the Earth's surface). The majority of ozone is found in the upper layer, which is also known as the "ozone shield."
